How early should I send out my wedding invitations?

Most couples mail their invitations four to eight weeks before the ceremony to allow out-of-town guests time to make travel arrangements. If your wedding falls on a holiday weekend, during the busy wedding months of May and June, between Thanksgiving and the beginning of the New Year, or is a destination wedding, you should consider sending out save-the-date cards a year to eight months in advance.
